Create financing methodologies and models. Establish unlikely partnerships. Promote significant changes. Assume mistakes and move forward. Do differently what was already working. Innovate. Dare. BOLDNESS is innate to human beings, but it must be developed, experienced and improved. It requires courage, creativity, planning and perseverance to meet challenges and take calculated risks.

At the 2023 Brazilian Philanthropy Forum, we will highlight initiatives and people who paved the way for a more transformative, diverse, and inclusive philanthropy and social investment. We invite you to be inspired by these stories.

September 14th 2023

HYBRID EVENT - 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (BRT)

Face-to-face: Boulevard JK (São Paulo, Brazil); Online: YouTube IDIS

BRAZILIAN PHILANTHROPY FORUM

The Brazilian Philanthropy Forum aims to provide an exclusive space for the philanthropic community to gather, exchange experiences and learn with peers, enriching the strategic philanthropy in order to promote the Brazilian society’s development. The event is now in its 12th edition and has brought together over 1,500 participants, including philanthropists, leaders, and national and international experts.

‘Boldness’ is the theme of the Brazilian Philanthropy Forum 2023. We highlight initiatives for a more transformative, diverse, and inclusive philanthropy. We value the creation of methodologies and financing models, the establishment of unlikely partnerships, the promotion of significant changes, the willingness to admit mistakes and move forward, and the ability to do things differently even when they are already successful. We emphasize entrepreneurship and innovation. That’s why this year’s theme is BOLDNESS. Although inherent to human nature, it must be developed, experienced, and enhanced. It requires courage, creativity, planning, and perseverance to face challenges and take calculated risks. We invite you to be inspired by stories.

In order to analyse and discuss the philanthropy role in Brazil’s development, great speakers such as Ana Lúcia Villela, Atila Roque, Atti Worku, Eduardo Giannetti, Edvaldo Vieira, Eduardo Lyra, Chrtistiane Torloni, Guilherme Leal, Gilberto Carvalho, Jane Wales, Jorge Gerdau Johannpeter, Giovanni Harvey, Lester M. Salamon, Luiza Helena Trajano, Maílson da Nóbrega, Matthew Bishop, Peter Eigen, Rob Garris, Swanee Hunt, Viviane Senna and many others have attended the Forum.
