Access IDIS annual reports (available only in Portuguese).

The Promoting Philanthropy Endowment is established in IDIS’ articles of association and bylaws and it is segregated from the other assets in IDIS Balance Sheet, according to the guidelines of the Brazilian Endowments Law 13,800/19. The effective adoption of the Law 13,800/19 will occur when the tax incentives that IDIS currently has are extended to that law.

In 1999, IDIS was created to foster private social investment in Brazil. This story is marked by pioneering projects, innovation, collaboration and a commitment to socio-environmental development.

Now, it’s time to look to the future. To ensure sustainability and extend our impact, we created the Promoting Philanthropy Endowment.

By expanding our initiatives, we aim to reach more communities and promote lasting positive changes in society through strategic philanthropy. Made by people. For people.

In our 25th anniversary, we received a R$ 7.5 million gift from philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, recognizing the relevance of IDIS’ work and our potential to generate even more positive impacts.

The funds were allocated to the Endowment as matching for gifts from Brazilian philanthropists.
