Alex is also a member of the Deliberative Council of the NGO Hemocione; a member of the Future Trustee Council of ATHON Higher Education; Education Counselor of the Rio de Janeiro Commercial Association (ACRJ); philanthropist and co-founder and CEO of the educational technology investment holding SQUARE. Before becoming a partner at SQUARE, Alex created and led for 6 years, at SOMOS Educação (NASDAQ: VSTA), Plurall – the leading Brazilian digital platform in private basic education serving 1.5 million students, 100,000 teachers in 4,000 schools; and which was the proprietary technological basis of SOMOS for the IPO on NASDAQ in July 2020.
